Complaints & Support

Townsville Monsoons Volleyball Club is committed to providing a safe, respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment for all athletes, families, coaches, officials, volunteers, spectators, and committee members.

If you have a concern, complaint, or incident you would like to report, we encourage you to use our confidential complaints reporting process.

Confidential Reporting

All complaints and concerns submitted through this process are treated confidentially.

Reports submitted through the complaints form go directly to Shannon Wong, Vice-President of Townsville Monsoons Volleyball Club.

Information provided will only be shared where necessary to assess, respond to, manage, investigate, or refer the complaint. This may include situations where the club is required to involve Volleyball Queensland, Volleyball Australia, Sport Integrity Australia, Police, child protection authorities, or another appropriate organisation.

What Can Be Reported?

You can use this form to report concerns involving Townsville Monsoons Volleyball Club activities, members, athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, spectators, or committee members.

This may include concerns about:

  • Bullying, harassment, or verbal abuse
  • Physical aggression or unsafe behaviour
  • Poor sideline, parent, spectator, coach, or athlete behaviour
  • Conflict between members
  • Breaches of club values or codes of conduct
  • Social media or online behaviour
  • Safety concerns
  • Child safeguarding concerns
  • Discrimination
  • Sexual misconduct or inappropriate behaviour
  • Drugs, alcohol, doping, betting, match-fixing, or corruption concerns
  • Any other concern affecting the safety, wellbeing, fairness, or integrity of club activities

Emergency or Immediate Safety Concerns

If there is an immediate threat to safety, call 000.

If a child is at risk, the matter should be reported to the relevant child protection authority.

Some matters may also need to be referred directly to Volleyball Queensland, Volleyball Australia, Sport Integrity Australia, Police, or another appropriate authority.

What Happens After a Report Is Submitted?

Once a complaint or concern is submitted:

  1. The report will be received confidentially by Shannon Wong, Vice-President.
  2. The matter will be reviewed to determine the most appropriate next step.
  3. The club may contact the person making the report for further information if required.
  4. The matter may be managed internally or referred to an external body where appropriate.
  5. The club will aim to respond in a fair, respectful, timely, and confidential manner.
