πŸ’§ Player Welfare & Heat Management

With the 3-set match format, there may be extended breaks throughout the day. Use this time wisely to recover and refuel.

We strongly encourage all players to:
πŸ₯— Eat regularly
πŸ’¦ Stay well hydrated
⚑ Use electrolytes (not just water)
🧊 Make use of the cool-down marquee whenever possible
🌱 Court Management

Where scheduling allows, courts will be watered to help reduce surface temperature and improve player comfort.

πŸ”₯ Heat Policy

Player safety is our top priority. Our Heat Policy is active and available on our website. All participants are strongly encouraged to review it before the event.

If extreme heat conditions occur, match formats may be adjusted as follows:

Standard format:
21 / 21 / 15

Heat-modified format:
15 / 15 / 11

These changes are designed to:
  • Increase recovery time
  • Allow extra rest at change of ends and between sets
  • Reduce overall heat load on players

These adjustments are not preferential and will be implemented only when necessary. Tournament coordinators will advise teams on the day if any changes are required.
